This ethnographic setting is composed by the best conserved wind mill on the island; it is an exclusive model in La Palma, known as Sistema Ortega (Ortega System), remembering the name of its discoverer. Ten of these wind mills are only conserved in different municipalities on the island (Breña Alta, Garafía, Puntagorda and Puntallana). Obviously, they are directly related to the cereal culture (wheat, barley, rye, etc.). Nowadays, the mill takes part of “El Molino” Pottery Workshop, in which Ramón y Vina carefully creates reproductions of the Benahoarita's (aborigine´s) pottery. The visit to this handicraft center leads us to the mill's internal part, to get a good idea of the way it works.
